Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has started work again on the Amaravati Capital Region project in Rayapudi village after it was stopped for 5 years.

This project was Naidu’s "dream plan," but it had been put on hold by the previous government.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu announced that the cost of building the capital city, Amaravati, has gone up by Rs 7,000 crore in the last five years.

This means the total cost to complete the project is now Rs 52,000 crore.

He explained that the rise in the cost was purely due to delays caused by the previous YSRCP government, which slowed down work on the project from 2019 to 2024. Because of these delays, the original budget for the construction went up.

Naidu also said that banks are ready to help the State for the development of the Amaravati.

He also thanked the Central government for their support in helping the people of Andhra Pradesh.
